Gun
My son asked my husband how guns work. My husband drew the little gun below to demonstrate the different parts, and then my son drew the big colored one above.
Satellite and Pulley Bridge
A satellite. And a bridge my son invented, that uses electricity and gears to pull up a wooden bridge over the water.
Airplane, Rocket, Elevator, Fish
Trying to conserve space, a bunch of drawings on the same page. Beautiful airplane, rocket ship, elevator and revolving doors.... And a fish.
Flying Robot
My son based this drawing off a drawing my husband had made a few months ago, but my son added his own unique twist to it...
Here's my husband's original drawing that that was based on.
Personally, I like my son's drawing better than my husband's.
About This Blog
Every mom always has that dilemma- what art projects that the kids make should I keep, and what should I toss?
With a limited amount of space, I do not want to keep large amounts of drawings in my home- there simply isn't the room to store it all.
But my son is really amazing at drawing, and is getting better day by day, and it would be a pity to not keep the drawings so he can look back at them when he gets older, and see how much progress he's made.
I was sharing pictures my son drew on facebook, but since people might not want to see all his drawings, I decided to just post his drawings here, so that those interested in seeing can do so, but it won't overwhelm my Facebook wall.
If/when we give him special art lessons, etc... or are teaching him new techniques to help him develop his skill, I'll probably share what they are here.
He is 6 years and 2 months now, as of starting this blog.
Enjoy!
